Lucy has always been ultra sensative to the violin. I was listening to a youtube of Jascha Heifetz playing Bach Chaconne and she complained. It doesn’t matter if it is the world’s greatest violinist, she just can’t handle the overtones and frequencies of the violin sound. But today she was comfortable and sleeping in her chair as I was teaching a few lessons and instead of complaining and eventually leaving, she stayed. It was one of the first times this has ever happened. I just think she is getting to the point in her age where physical comfort outweighs the negative noise factor. My students were delighted. We tried to make it easier for her by putting a pillow over her head which stayed there for the duration. Poor girl. If she weren’t truly the world’s most spoiled dog I would feel bad for her, but in every other way her needs are completely catered to…. and truly I do need to teach violin lessons to make a living.

Lucy in the morning

Lucy went to my husband’s Father’s home today and had fun sniffing the deer tracks in the backyard. She also ran around all over the place in the house. Grandpa loves to see her! He always has me put the phone up to Lucy’s ear so she can hear him saying “Helllllooo Lucy!”

Lucy has a wish list  and she would love to receieve anything from that list if you are so inclined. (Actually I’m just trying out the cool new snap links… aren’t they great?)

It’s too bad that Lucy hates the violin so much because she loves the children!
