Lucy's Toys

Here are some of Lucy’s toys.  You must admit that she is an angel!  This morning she destroyed another toy – a tennis ball designed just for dogs.  Then she buried her rawhide bone underneath a pile of my paperwork (ugh!).  Now Mr. Bear has taken her over to his mom’s while I am doing the laundry (since the dryer bothers her so much).  What a lovely spoiled dog!

Lucy smiling

Lucy is much happier today.  Yesterday I took her for a nice l o n g walk.  She’s snoring right now.  (I always think that is so funny)

Can’t you see how she is smiling?

Today Mr. Bear is gone to work all day and I teach in the afternoon.  So she won’t be too happy when I teach but she can go in the back room where we have a nice big bed made of about 5 quilts ready for her.

pensivelucy.jpgLucy looks a bit pensive because she knows she is going outside soon. I have to do the laundry and for Lucy that means playing in the backyard. I try to get it over with as soon as possible, but it still means hours in the backyard. Lucy is a confirmed indoor dog. (For an explanation on why she has to go out back read more on the mystery)

And of course I’m back to teaching violin in the afternoon which she is really resisting. She stays in the room as long as possible. Poor Lucy!

Lucy is having so much fun playing with her Christmas toys! She has already taken the football with the rope completely apart and now she’s working on the the baseball. Lucy and her toy (pictured) First she gets it to squeak and squeak. Then she opens it up by the threads and gets the squeaker out. Stuffing is all over the living room. It has taken her less than 3 minutes to open up this toy.

We plan to get her toys all of the time now~!  She never had many toys.  Victor had toys but when Lucy came along he tried playing with her with the tug toy.  He gave a mighty tug and Lucy went flying through the air.   Victor realized he would never win the  tug toy with a dog like that, so he quit playing with toys altogether.  I just quit buying toys because I focused a lot on Victor in those days.  (Mr. Bear is throwing away the squeaker from the center of that toy now that Lucy has gotten it out.)   Now that Victor is gone, Lucy can play with toys all she wants! This will help make her life wonderful!
